These are just a few ideas I have been thinking about the last few weeks.
The first one is to have a children’s day-camp this summer. With as many young adults and children in our group, I think we should plan for a day of fun activities for them.
My reasoning for this is thus: because our religion is fairly new and one of the fastest growing religions in the United States , we are evolving into a family religion. Children need to develop their own sense of spirituality and often do by observing what their parents are engaged in. Our celebrations are family friendly, but I think we need to take this a step further and actively engage our children in learning about our religion.
On the proposed camp day, children would learn about what happens at a circle and a little about some of the stories and mythology of some of the gods and goddesses. There would be some crafts and maybe the children could even work on putting together a small play for the adults later in the day. We could plan a pot luck in the evening and a fellowship circle and have the children share with us their artwork and performance.
Instead of a performance the children might also make masks and do a grand procession and we could do a drumming circle for them. The possibilities really are endless.
Another idea that I have been thinking about is to have several fund-raising workshops to help with this. Money from these workshops would be put aside specifically for the day-camp. We could do a small pumpkin garden this summer and use the money from growing the pumpkins as a way to fund next year’s camp. This way the children could also help with raising the money and working toward their goal. For this we would need to set several work days aside to make sure that the garden is tilled and then planted and then for days to do weeding. The children could also donate part of what they made towards another project such as planting trees or helping with the women’s shelter.
Finally I would like to suggest in late April or early May and then again in late May, that we have a seed swap day and plant swap day. This would be a free event and folks could get together and trade whatever they have extra of. If it would be easier to post to group and share this way instead of all getting together, we could do this also. If you have any ideas please share them with us!!

Ahh the fresh breath of Mercury leaving retrograde!
At last we can send our emails, make our phone calls, and plan those trips that we haven’t been able to do for the past three weeks.
Also on the 18th of March we will be having a New Moon/Solar Eclipse in double Pisces. This means both the moon and sun will be in the same sign during the eclipse which is the source of the intense energies we will be feeling at that time.
With Pisces being a water sign this is a very good time to be working on meditation, spirituality, ritual due to the intuitive nature of this sign.
Having a new clear view on our surroundings coming out of the Mercury Retrograde and with a very strong Eclipse under our wing this should be a very powerful start to this new Spring Equinox.

Journeys unfold like conscious dreams…there is a message. Watch for signs and omens for the next 10 days.
Back when I was a teenager, my Dad, 94 years old in 2007, once mentioned that his Dad bought their first radio when he was a teenager. Dad spoke of an intermittent beeping sound that occurred several times per day, beeping that would start faintly, grow louder, then wane. The beeping sounds continued for a few years, then ceased, never to be heard again. I didn't think much about dad's (fanciful?) story back then but I was to hear the identical story from my Geology professor when I went to college. Hmmmm. The Geology professor added his hypothesis to the story conjecturing that, perhaps, some advanced civilization from somewhere else in the galaxy sent a satellite to our Earth to determine if it was inhabited. Continuing with his ideas on the subject, perhaps our radio broadcasts sent a signal to that satellite turning it on. Possible? Who knows?
Taking the professor's ideas just a bit further, we can form a reasonable hypothesis: Sirius, a bright star on our southern Winter horizon is just a few light years away and it has a companion star, Sirius B, that we label as a "white dwarf." A white dwarf is a star that has burnt itself out in a process that we call a 'nova.' When a star becomes a nova, it expands, engulfing any of its closer planets while it increases its light output. For the purpose of this hypothesis, let's say that one of the planets was inhabited. When its residents determined that their star was going to explode, they sent explorer satellites to other solar systems to find a suitable planet to colonize and the beeping sounds coming from early radio broadcasting came from one of those satellites.
There is an obscure verse in the book of Genesis that may seem to lend credibility to this hypothesis: "So he (the Lord God) drove out man; and he placed at the east of the Garden of Eden cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life." Genesis 3:24 (Taken from the King James Version). A "flaming sword which turned every way" would certainly be a good way of explaining the condition of a planet engulfed within a nova.
Whether these, our hypothetical ancestors, came from Sirius B or some other place in the galaxy, the 'flaming sword' would be a way of explaining the condition of the planet they left.

We should consider too, the mental cages in which we allow ourselves to be locked, the iron masks of ideas which prevent our minds from becoming liberated and soaring into the realms of the mental world where true reality is found, and where our minds run free.
We have a great need for Liberation from old ways of thinking during the month of Pisces!

The Avatar on my Yahoo 360 is not really what I look like now or remotely close, but is the best image I could create about a person who I was five lives ago in the early 1600 Europe. She was an herbalist with flowing black hair, very tall, blue eyes, light skin, a green dress, and carrying a basket of greens. She was very free spirited, but knew her responsibilities and place as well. When my friend was describing this person to me she asked, “it is you isn’t it?” She said don’t think about it go with your gut feeling. I was crying and said yes it was a long time ago. I had already known a little about that life, but not a lot or what I looked like. I also found out I had a husband a very tall husband...red hair, kind of brawny who adored me. It is not what I want to look like now, but I find it ironic that the men I am attracted to the most in looks have black or dark hair and blue eyes.
Some may ask, how do you know that is what I looked like or resembled and how do I know I lived before this life? It is hard to explain, however I will try. These things are what have helped me learn more about what happened between my ex-husband and I two years ago. What happened in our relationship and its ending and why. Who I am and trying to be. Who I am and trying to be and why it seems like such a struggle in this life to accomplish. What my soul’s lessons are and why I have these nagging fears and wounds that in ways are unexplainable to me in this life, but they are there and seem to haunt my every step. Holding me back from the things I so badly want and seem to be unable to obtain to me.
I will not tell you it is an easy or joyful path to embark on at times. The sadness, hurt, anger, the emotional heaviness, and sometimes the physical pain that manifests itself in my body can be frustrating and infuriating. Sometimes even the thought of why would my soul put me through this just to learn and grow seems terrible. I have come to understand this process and the longer and harder I fight the harder and more painful the lessons get. The more I come to understand the reasons for all that has happened in this life, the people who are involved in it and why, and my personality I was born into this life with and I am trying to improve on with the personality traits my natal charts shows me to have the more I see the light and understanding in the lessons I am learning. It took two lives in my past to create a mess to which I have been trying to heal the past three lives including this one.
Some people would say these things don’t exist or is nothing because it is not tangible or can be “proven”. Reincarnation, souls, past lives, dreams, psychic gifts such as clairvoyance, clairaudience, and clairsentience, spirit guides, birth natal charts, numerology, etc. They are tools to help awaken your spirituality and understand your existence and lessons in this life. Everyone has these capabilities on some level to help them. Some have high levels of these gifts and we are aware of those people and some will go to them for help. I have done this myself when I have been stuck and couldn’t put the pieces of the puzzle together on my own. I just needed a little hint and sometimes those hints make no sense at all at first but eventually they will. I have a few of these gifts some I am more skilled at than others. I have had some clue of these gifts when I was younger, but didn’t understand them nor did I have someone to help me learn. Like everything in life they kept appearing and showing themselves to me. I would scratch my head and just go on with life because I had no one to guide, teach, or talk to about them.
I am a dreamer and most every night my soul is busy learning, processing, and doing things through my dreams. Some I remember others I do not. When I remember those dreams I am able to consciously work on them in the “real” world by using my brain to think them over. I receive some of my information about things through my conscious living as I go about doing daily things.
Others receive their information through meditation or past life regression therapy. I fall asleep so it does not work for me. If I am stumped about something I ask my guides, elders, and even god for the cosmic 2x4 so many speak of, because I will say I am not getting it. Sometimes I say maybe a 4x4 would be best. I can be thick skulled at times. Laughs
My connection with nature is strong and stems from my herbalist life. I am in tune with the plants and especially with the animals. I have been studying Native American spirituality and have a teacher/mentor I am now working with. She is wonderful, open, and knowledgeable. This particular way of thinking and living speaks to my heart and soul, because when you look very closely at it, it is in relationship with the moon, sun, stars, rocks, plants, animals, sky, mother earth, inanimate, and animate life, the elders/guides, and other beings and humans. It is to live in harmony and relationship with all that is around us and to give thanks to that which we are given and to give back when we are bountiful. This is who I was in that life I know, because I feel it in every fiber of my being and it is what makes me soar in this life. It has been with me the whole time even as a child to be out in nature with nature is what has always given me solace. These are a few of the gifts I was given to help me in this life do what I needed to do, learn, and heal from other lives.
I have to say life can be painful, but it is an adventure I would never give up and look forward to in my next round.
At the last Directions Meeting on March 6th, Gaia's Wheel members voted to accept WyldRose's proposals to host a Pagan Summer Camp. The Summer Solstice Celebration will be held in conjunction with the camp for the member's children. Saturday, June 23rd is the date set for the camp and the groups celebration.
Also voted and accepted was that the group will grow a pumpkin patch to help fund the Summer Camp for next year.
The pumpkin patch will be hosted on Teralyn's farm and members and their children will help plant and maintain the patch throughout the summer months.
Sunday I was invited to a friends business to help her smudge, drum, pray, and vision for what the store is suppose to become. She told me on Friday it wants to be something else and asked me to come. I called her when I got home on Friday and asked for the opening date and time so I could do a natal chart on it. I had read you could do that with businesses, but had not practiced it myself. The idea like many popped into my head as I was driving home and thinking about what she wanted to do and why. So I guess you could say I was guided.
I have been working with my natal chart and on other peoples for about 2 years now and have a system that works really well for me and allows me to understand my purpose and personality traits. My friend Jessica says I do a great job and should charge for my time and energy doing them. She is right and we came up with something that will be affordable to people and give me a little cash to get really good software and some more tutoring in Astrology. Yea! Glad I am not depending on it for a living though. I enjoy astrology for the most part, but it can be frustrating and even hurtful when a person starts to learn and work on things. But it is a good self-help tool as one friend said and a lot of times it does make sense.
For me it has cleared a lot of cobwebs and helped me to understand my reactions to other people and myself more clearly. It has explained certain health problems, fears, wounds, and personal likes and dislikes. It even helped me to figure out what I am supposed to do as a career or moneymaker, one reason why I am back in school for nursing. Everything I do, am interested in, etc will all fall into place as time goes on. It’s a fascinating subject and there are many views and many ways to apply astrology. Besides planting and farming by the moon only the natal chart has interested me so far.
There is a lot to learn about natal charts the meanings of the planets, signs they are in, the houses they occupy, and where in that house they are placed. There are about 11 planets including the sun, moon, and Chiron. The north and south nodes, which to me explains your personality you were born with in this life, the things you need to let go of and, the things you need to work on in that personality. The Rising sun or ascendant the first impression we have of the world and its impression of us. Our mid-heaven is how we want to be recognized in society. Astrology is not simple at first to comprehend and takes time to learn and some tutoring to clear up any confusion. I understand why Astrologists charge $150-$180 per natal chart. That doesn’t include a reading on a vocation, love life, etc. those are separate charges. It is a lot of work, but worth it to do. There is too much to write about astrology I couldn’t even begin to give it justice in an article.
As for my friends business’ chart I was amazed at what was on it and as I tried to think of it as not a person it kept telling me now treat me like I was a human and read my chart accordingly. Everything or very close to it she talked about, mentioned, brought up was in the chart and more. She was surprised herself, but seemed to really like it and we are going to look at it some more and her chart. Myself Sunday was a learning experience for me. I learned that I could do a chart and be pretty accurate (confidence thing) with a little guidance. It also gave me some ideas on figuring out a few other things on other friends’ charts. Yea!! Some of them have really stumped me.
Sunday was a good day and a day of learning and discovering.
